Sharecon behind the scenes: Teresa Viertel

Foto TeresaWho are you in one sentence?

I see myself as a positive, multi-cultural person who is motivated to do something meaningful – even if only in my own small world.

What is your background?

In 2012 I finished my Masters Degree in Marketing and having worked during the studies in Product Marketing, Dialog-Marketing and Event Management, I now found my path working for a 360 degree-marketing agency as a Project Manager for Events & Promotions. I got involved in the topic of the Sharing Economy while I wrote my Master Thesis on the possible integration of a clothing Sharing Platform within a traditional company – it’s interesting to see how things evolved towards more awareness and acceptance in regards to this topic.

What is Sharing Economy for you?

Essentially it’s a new lifestyle for me – a way to bring people together and find opportunities against unnecessary consumption.

Whats the future of the Sharing Economy?

Hopefully it will be the new normal and more traditional companies will see it as a potential to integrate or change to a sharing business model.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

Open people’s eyes so that they can see how wasteful and resource unfriendly we are living nowadays.

FotoRené_PortraitWho are you in one sentence?

DIGITAL & CUSTOMER ALCHEMIST: professional and private focus on #digitaltransformation, #sharingEconomy putting always #customerfirst. I am a Millenial in a BabyBoomer Body.

What is your background?

Consultant with strong operational executive background. I am working regularly with startups and with people with a “startup” mindset.

What is Sharing Economy for you?

The Sharing Economy (peer-to-peer, collaborative consumption) is part of the 55 business model patterns according to http://www.bmilab.com. I am personally convinced that Sharing Economy is more than «what’s mine is yours». Sharing Economy is also an economical and societal model focusing on providing «access» to people, objects, knowledge and services and will change significantly the way we produce, learn and consume in a digital world.

Whats the future of the Sharing Economy?

The future of Sharing Economy is bright. Citizens become more and more aware of the benefits. Digital Transformation will also present more peer-to-peer solutions. Even Cities start to launch initiatives toward a kind of «sharecity» vision. The future is also challenging due to the need for regulations (improvements, adaption etc.).

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

As Customer Alchimist I would love to change the way consumer data are managed. I would like to give this task back to each citizen making him owner again of its personal data and get also part of the benefits out of those data. New technologies (e.g. blockchain) today would allow to make this vision becoming reality. As individuum I own my data and provide access to companies who would like creating a realtionship with me.

Announcement Sharing Economy – Sharecon Switzerland

New Commitee and new programm of Sharecon

The Sharing Economy in Switzerland has evolved

Four years ago, in 2013, Stella V. Schieffer, Andreas Amstutz and René F. Lisi founded Sharecon, the Swiss Association of Sharing Economy. The main purpose was to promote the new societal model across the country, to support Swiss start-ups acting in this market segment and organizing focused events to showcase new solutions and business models.

Since then, the Swiss Sharing Economy market has evolved. AirBnB and Uber have entered also the Swiss market. Even if it may be questioned whether those businesses can be considered as sharing economy solutions, they have changed the perception of all consumers.

Stella V. Schieffer and Andreas Amstutz have decided to withdraw from Sharecon’s committee, both for professional reasons. We with them the best of luck for the future and express our gratitude for all the work done.

Digital transformation moved from a buzzword to a daily reality, changing our way of life, of doing business and the way we consume. Sharing economy, collaborative consumption and access economy are more and more considered as digital business model opportunities. Peer-to-peer platforms are considered as one of the possible solutions to face digital transformation.

That’s why Sharecon has decided to adapt its structure and actions in Switzerland to meet its vision and mission:

  • As of 1.4.2017 Sharecon is structured in chapters across Switzerland. The chapter Zurich, managed by René F. Lisi. The chapter Geneva (Suisse Romande), managed by Jonathan Normand. The chapter Basle (Nord-West) managed by Frank Wolff.
Sharecon is currently in discussions with candidates for the chapters of Swiss Central and East Switzerland.
  • The Sharecon committee as of 1.4.2017: René F. Lisi – president, Roger Basler – PR & marketing, Jonathan Normand – chapter Geneva, Frank Wolff – chapter Basle.
  • Sharecon’s vision and mission remains the same but will emphasize the collaboration part between universities, federal politic and the Swiss economy.
  • Sharecon will organize focused events and seminars as well on a chapter level as well as centrally.

Sharecon will launch in 2017 a dedicated study – yearly repeated – to learn more about the Swiss Sharing Economy market, its actors and consumers and will publish the results through various channels and medias.

The next Sharecon events are: 09/2017 topic to be announced; 10/2017 Sharenight Basle.
